For this special day, St. Patrick's Day, I'll go back to my Ireland pictures, as a tribute to the beautiful rough Irish landscape.

St. Patrick is Ireland's patron saint. Apart from a free day on the 17th of March, Saint Patrick is remembered in many stories and folklore as an heroic preacher who must have lived 70 lives if we believe all that is said about him.

The view is to Kenmare river, somewhere above the famous ring of Kerry.

Slainte!

I posted a workshop for Simon flyIreland

Hi Rinie,
This is a very beautifull birds eye view with the sheep being very relaxed on the foreground.
Groet,
Paul

So, this one's from the time when you were just a sunday photographer, with a simple P&S with a swivelling lcd, huh? Nowdays, madam treks the mongolian steppes with a DSLR and is even thinking about buying a huge telephoto lens.

Let me tell you, you already used to take great photos then. The point of view is of course a privileged one, but you've managed to come out with a very good composition. The light is a must, and that helps to obtain a very good contrast of colours. Beautiful view.

huuuuu !!!!

I'll book for Ireland as soon as possible after seeing this photo. A lot of "moods" which reminds me of the High Fjells of Norway or the plateaux of the Auvergne [except for the sea of course... Ha!] - Especially the smaragd green, the sheep, the space, the hugeness...

Thank you for my next dream Rinie!

* [I'll try to answer as soon as I have a quiet moment, I just had my two "Joséphine's Days", I'm tired but happy]

Hi Rinie! I like very much this sight of Irland. The sheeps are a bit strange with that blue color on their wool but it fits very well with blue water. Well seen!

Slainte! Rinie - what a fantastic St P's day photo! This says rural Ireland all the way down to the mud on the sheeps legs! A really nice composition! Oh how I wish.......

Nice shot Rinie! somehow, colors seem a bit oversaturated, don't they? or was it just the light? anyway the addition of those sheep in the foreground is great...
take care
Eric

Hi Rinie;

I like this shot. Good composition, and color really add to this scenic photo. The sheep in the forground help to add scale. Well done.
"Happy Saint Patrick's Day!"

Cheers, Rinie!
Happy Saint Patrick's day...I can barely type...back from entire day in pubs...slight overdose of Guinness...;-) Green greetings...

Léonie

PS: this place on the photo is lovely...of course I know it! :-)

Beautiful view with an enormous depth,Rinie!
Good use of sharpness and dof that shows the opulence of details frome fore,-to background.
Wonderful colors and contrasts!

Nice tribute to St. Patrick's Day with a return to your Irish photos. I just had some Irish Whiskey bread right before I saw this so I'm into a little bit of a St. Patty's day mood right now. The colors, the rocks and that green are so Irish. The scenery is beautiful, right out to the color of the water. The buildings and walls look gerat on this landscape. It's very lovely. I particularly like the line of trees on the little rectangle by the inlet. That really gives a great sense of scale as they are so tiny. And the rams are well placed over the scene finally finishing it as an active landscape. Their blue markings are nicely saturated, too. Oh, and I just got a Guiness glass like the ones in your workshop at work the other night.

Hi Rinie,
What a fantastic shot from Ireland. It's hard to notice the sheep )or maybe goats?)from the first glance but they are amazing with their long and the blue spots on their backs. A very nice view in blue and green. Very good shot.

Helli Rinie,

So beautiful picture, Ireland is my next trip so it's very intersting all the colors are so beautiful !

cheers

Cheers Rinie!
Very nice landscape!
Nice colors and light.
Excellent DOF.
Very good.

Hi Rinie, what a wonderful capture with an astonishing depth you bring us here! I like the almost pastel-like colour palette and it's great to explore this landscape - following the borders between the fields and on to the craggy hills in the BG. The way the farmer marked his flock looks preculiar and funny. Great job!

Great POV,and excellent quality with a lot of details which are pleasance for eyes from foreground to far.
I like this rural atmosphere, fresh and fine for taking a deep breath, nicely composed and Thanks for sharing it,Rinie!
Sincerely
M

A fitting posting for St. Patrick's, Rinie, and a wonderful sweeping view across the fabulous green landscape. An attractive layering of different elements as the eye wanders towards the back, starting with the sheep, then the geometry of fields and buildings, then the coastal rocks. Well contrasted and very colorful. I'm having a German beer as I'm writing this, but I hope it still entitles me to a heart-felt Slainte ;-)

The more I look at this shot, the more I want to go there.... Colours are superb, fantastic depth and sharpness, and so much to look at. Really nice light. I love the sheep, they posed very nicely for you in just the right spot. A wonderful view of Ireland Rinie - well done!

Hi Rinie

A superb landscape with an impressive, high pov. Excellent sharpness color lighting & saturation. I like the blue sheep! perfect color coordination with the sea in the background. It must be some type of 'id', unique to that particular farm. Well seen, & thanks for posting.

Amazing view. I could sit here and enjoy the view for hours. There r so much details to look at. I wish there was a bit more sea at the top. Does the lagoon have an opening to the sea?

An image is worth more than houndred words. This is the best example. I like everything here from the white sheeps in foreground to the blue sea. This photo (like others from Leonie) is an invitation to visit Ireland.

WOW! a breathtaking view. the colors are fantastic. like the little sheep in the foreground :)

This picture is magnificent! It captures Ireland's true beauty.

Hi Rinie,
This is a nice landscape which is based on a very good point of view.
The colors are contrasted and the path from foreground to background is perfect.
The depth of field is perfect.
Bravo !
Amicalement,
Michaël
