this is the view from the top of the conor pass, on the dingle peninsula, county kerry, looking out over brandon bay.
the sun was just setting behind brandon mountain, resulting in a lovely orange glow across part of the sky.
i used a 0.9ND Grad, and a polarizing filter.

This is a lovely photograph but it is one which, sadly, suffers from the fact that the thumbnail image is not at all inspiring - it looks so very much like the run-of-the-mill dull and dreary landscapes that we see so often posted from those people who submit one or two pictures then abandon TE after a couple of weeks.
But, when we look at the full-size picture, all is revealed! Again, a picture, like your last one, which shows evidence of painstaking planning and purpose and attention to detail and also the subtle employment of filters, this has a wonderful subtlety to it with the light illuminating the foreground grasses beautifully and with vibrant colours.
But the mist in the valley gives a beautiful "aerial perspective" - that feature which causes distant objects to have less contrast and less colour saturation than near ones. So, therefore, you are in good company, as Leonardo da Vinci was one of the first to employ this in his pictures - in the Mona Lisa the girl is portrayed brightly but the hills and buildings behind her are shown in less contrast and with less saturation.
A lovely photograph!

Wow! What a stunning landscape post! Love it! The scene has been presented so well with this special lighting effect in the background. Awesome picture. Bravo!

J'aime beaucoup l'effet provoqué par la légère brume dans la vallée et les couleurs du ciel qui illumine le tout.

Beautiful capture and the misty hazy light and colour is fantastic. Your height emphasises the beautiful scenery really nicely, and the green is so lush and Irish!

Lovely green panorama. The place looks amazing in the shy sunlight. Well seen.

Gidday dear Brian
This is sensational, such a great POV that I know you must have worked hard (and climbed hard) for. The scene is so beautiful, packed full of atmosphere, wonderful pastel colours and of course that spectacular mist. It's another one of yours I wish I had in my own Gallery. Top shot, congrats!
PS: Hope you're not crying into your cuppa tea over the Donegal v Down massacre ;) There were 2 very happy Donegalians in our household last night, and 1 Aussie who used it as an excuse to drink too many beers. Sore head!

The pov you chose lead us through the turquoise lakes. A superb FG with a lot of greens which is beautiful in it's own. Backed by the colourful sky beyond it becomes part of a spectacular landscape.
Have a nice day,

bellissima immagine che rende l'idea della vastità di questa vallata! Sono presenti 2 situazioni tipiche dell'Irlanda, il verde e l'acqua... complimenti!
A presto, Paolo
