Taking a break from my 'train' pictures.

Nature in Ireland, and especially the west coast, is really stunning, and seeing the beautiful Ireland pictures of SophieL and Valentia, inspired me to look at my own Ireland pictures again.
(Also I could not make up my mind which one to choose of my train pictures ;-))

The picture is taken from Skellig Michael, since 1996 one of UNESCO's World Heritage sites. The view is on little Skellig, which is inhabited by 40.000 Gannets, and not open to the public. Behind it, lies Ballinskelligs Bay.
The grey dwellings are the Beehive Huts of St. Finian's monastery, dated back from 560 AD.

The colors came out of the camera like this, the green stuff is not grass, but some sort of weed. I cropped out a cable and a man standing near the huts.

Good Composition. Good Colours. Perfect Picture. Bravo...

Very beautiful. So clear and fresh. Like washed nature to extract only the initial things. Good composition to see the contrast of green with blue.

Back to Ireland for a break ... and for a really beautiful and crisp shot, Rinie. The compo is good with the diagonal line of the grassland (or, rather, weedsland) in front leading towards the "beehives", and the perspective across the Little Skellig towards the back. Great saturated tones of green and blue. Well done, take your time finding the next train picture ;-)

This was exactly what I needed to look at, Rinie - vast depth going to the horizon, deep blue sea and gorgeous green for variety and fine contrast! Brings great feeling of relaxation and tranquility. Excellent job!

Wonderful shot Rinie. It captures the magic if the place so well. The guides will not allow anyone to climb up to the point where you took this, so you are very lucky to have this view. Great colours and clarity to the mainland.

Aa very nice landscape shot from ireland, Rinie. This small island in the center is amazingm and the framin with this diagonal piece of weed area is nic too, I am a bit distracted by the white things on the weed, but it is not too much. Aa very relaxing and calm place.
I hope to see more of your trains voyage soon.

Peaceful and relaxing - I can almost here/feel a gentle breeze coming from this fresh blue sea.
Really good composition and colours, Rinie!

Beautiful well saturated colours and good contrast, Rinie. I like the composition too, with the strong diagonal creating a triangle of green. Lovely clouds, and nicely lit detail in the beehive monastery.

The colors here are very beautiful, Rinie. That really captures me immediately. Everything from the green weeds to the blue sea and the softer blue sky. The composition is really good with the slope down to the corner meeting the buildings and launching to the island on a diagonal and the land beyond. And at the top the clouds really attach everything together. It's very nice movement and really an amazing capture of color. Beautiful work, Rinie.

Well, it's nice shot of an interesting feature, but why take a break. Like Yitzhak, I'm waiting for the TSR train to leave.

I love this place.. What a view!!
very nicely composed.
Well done..

Een hele mooie plaat Rinie,
Het lijkt mij een prachtig land, mooie foto, goed genomen, met een geweldige diepte. De horizon vind ik het allermooiste hier.

great sight and photo Rinie! i read your note but seems like you needed a break and a breeze from your train trip;-)) LOL

just like me, going back to sweden yesterday, at times when hope still existed... ;-) LOL oups, i did it again!

Very nice picture Rine, I was going thru ur others pictures. I like the diagonal framing of the grass. Like the way u have maintained the details of the sky. Quite sharp end – end

I have posted a workshop version. Pls. Have a look.

Mooie kleuren en wolken in het echte Franse blauw , als contrast tegen het groene gras en het sherpe detail van de hutten. Toch kijk ik verder naar Rusland uit Rinnie.

Brings back happy memories of our Ireland tour last summer. The colours of this lovely composition. So clear and it is full of scenic beauty. Very well done.

WOW! a stunning capture-lovelyyyy colors Rinie.

Well I'm glad I inspired you to post another one of your "Ireland" picture!
Very nice composition here, with the beehive huts in the foreground, Little Skellig standing in the middle of the sea, like a ship, and then the coast, very beautiful and clear, in the background. Irish lights and colors seemed to me so friendly to photographers, and your picture is another proof of that.
Through your pictures and Danny's (Valentia), I regret I didn't take the time to visit Skellig Michael.

Nice compo Rinie. The blue is very peaceful and add in the green, it creates LIFE and HOPE. And this is a landscape...life is pulsating with it even without the people.

Hey Rinie! I´m sad to say I havn´t been keeping track of your train shots (I´ll have a look in a second ;o), but nevermind this break is beautiful, just like all your previous Ireland shots. My eyes seem to really like the placement of the rocks in the frame and the bright colours make me happy, thanks :oD

Very good rinie. I don't know the place but you sure make us want to go there. So very green and blue. Very nice compo too.
michel.

Fresh nature, blue for you, some fine details, great picture, beaitiful Ireland!

Oh! Wat zou ik graag toch eens naar Ierland gaan... Helemaal na deze foto.

This extremely sharp & beautiful image needs a crop. Because we would like to get closer to the rock island, but we don't want to miss the stone houses, or the misty blue moutains... A great dilemma!

The expansive blue sea is so encompassing and directing. And the green, an anchor to view the scene. Standing here, I don't think anyone can do better.

Hi Rinie

I like the symmetry between the beehive huts in the foreground, & the rocks in the ocean. Good use of a diagonal in the composition. Merry Xmas

The colors in this image are so vivid and bright. I like the sense of space described and the soft rolling hills in the distance. Very nice!

Hello Rinie.

Great contrast between the blue of the sea and the green of the grass. The point of view it's ok. I like this landscape.

One more pretty landscape picture from Ireland , Rinnie... Ireland had reached a point where you would be responsible if I visit this place in 2006. Many thanks for showing us the beauty of this island.

Take care - Izzet

Beauuuuuuutiful Picture!!!

Great shot of very beautiful nature. Also your note is very explanatory. Thanks for sharing. Behice.
