Photographer’s Note
Ruins of an ancient church on a now abandoned island in Lough Corrib (co. Galway, Ireland)
The warm green-yellowish glow is a reflection of the sunlight on the surrounding trees, bushes and... gravestones. I had to wait a while for some wandering tourists to leave, they often get in the way, don't they ? ;-)

Well captured Walter. Lovely light and texture. The framing is vety good, though I might have tried to get a little higher to take away the "gap" at the top of the window in the background.

Often in these peek thru the door, keyhole or window either the foreground is underexposed or the background is overexposed. Not in this one. The texture of the stones is beautifull.
In the series of an aperture giving view on an aperture PAMASTRO posted an alignement of doors in an italian monument that is nice as well.

I really like the views framed by ruins and this is a really good example. I like the way the green of the trees in the back connects with the green on the arches. I did a quick tweak in PhotoShop and I think the details come out a little better with the highlights turned down a bit.
