Photographer’s Note
Hi, somehow I became a big fan of the TL site, but will post here more regularly from now on, if there would be just a little more time in the day...
The Dail Leinster House Seat of Parliament on Merrion Upper Street in Dublin. Gate closed during night. I took this picture at 10:15pm with my flexible mini tripod, some of you may know that little cheap thing, but it works quite well :)

Always nice to see another shot, Jan. I like the symmetry you have captured here. It really helps provide a strong sense of power and authority behind the gates. This lighting is captured nicely, too, to enhance the building. But as a whole the image seems flat and the perspective distortion seems to bother me a bit here. Usually I don't mind it but in this it seems making the verticals vertical would enhance the symmetry and power of the building. And perhaps some adjustments in contrast might add more depth. You really do benefit from a well chosen point of view, though. And you have excellent framing here.

I like the feel of this photo. The photo is good but what i like is th emotions that it brings out. It brings out the feeling of walking home alone after leaving a really good party while others are still having. A fulfilled yet lonely feeling,. Don't know why but that's whta your photo say to me. I do like the grayish blue building so symmetrically framed by the oranges sides.
PS I owned a little flexible tripod, while on vacation I gave it to my cousin. I wish I still had it, they are useful.

Hi Jan
I may try a ws to fix some minor technical flaws on an otherwise great picture.
