Photographer’s Note
Stepping stones over the Glendasan River where it leaves the Upper Lake at Glendalough.
Glendalough (Irish: Gleann Dá Loch, meaning "Glen of Two Lakes") is a village located at the site of a monastery located in County Wicklow, Ireland. It was founded in the 6th century by Saint Kevin, a hermit priest. The Glendasan River flows trough the entire valley and connects the two lakes.
I have tried to align the stones so that they lead into the frame and further in the lake shore takes over and guides the eye towards the end where the two slopes meet.
I took this photo handheld using a polariser and a 2 stop ND grad.
The polariser gave the sky a deeper blue and the vegetation and fresher green, while it also removed some of the reflection in the foreground and enables us to see the pebbbles ini the lake.
The ND Grad was handheld at a 45 degree angle, following the slope, to balance for the bright sky.

Hello Hauke,
Fine composition with the curved path of the stone sleading the eye to the shore. Nice, clear picture and good demo of proper filter use. Regards,
