Photographer's Note

A view of the back of Glendalough valley, co Wicklow. This photo was token on Miners Road, one of the many paths in Glendalough valley. This path goes along north side of Upper Lake to the ruins of a miners village. The path first goes accross woods to the end of the lake, then the valley slowly goes up and that's where I took this photo. You need a little above one hour walk return to go from the car park at east end of Upper Lake to the miners village. This is an easy walk, but you can take the most of the wonderful scenery of Glendalough Valley anyway. So it really worths it ! From the miners village you can continue on the path and reach top of the mountains surrounding the lake on the south, but the walk is a lot harder.

To take this photo I used a graduated ND filter to preserve the details of this nice irish sky. An irish sky that fell on me a few minutes later ! Irish weather...
