Photographer’s Note
I took this picture on a stormy, but beautifully sunny day in April. The tiny chapel on the hill was the only sanctuary of shelter and calm from the wildness of the incoming thunderstorm. I like the way the sun was shining directly onto the lovely old grey stone and the bright orange church door!

Hello Louise -
Welcome to Trek Earth. This is a very nice image you chose to start off with. I to like the light and how it lights up the church. The storm clouds are a nice enhancement to the image. Well done!
Hope to see more, thanks for sharing.

Louise,
Lovely shot - those dark clouds really set off the sunlit hillside.
Welcome to TE!

I really like the bright yellow door, very nice in the mostly green/blue colors.

Hi Louise,
A really nice image which is well composed, and I agree the lighting is fantastic. The contrast between the grey/blue sky and the bright green hill works very well. I think if you had used a smaller aperture (F22 or F16) the entire image would have been in focus which in my opinion would have improved the end result....but you would have needed a tripod or something to rest on. Anyway, a good image and nice start to TE.
Cheers Grant
