[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Rock of Dunamase is a prominent fort, dating back possibly as far as the bronze age. It changed hands several times through allegiances and wars through the centuries, and now lies mostly in ruins. Conservation works on the site were recently completed, and it is now fully open to the public.

The photograph shows one of several collapsed walls in the area. There are other ruins on the site more recognisable as rooms, halls and gates. I'll probably post another that shows more of the site itself.

I'm still playing with color and contrast. The sky was overcast that day, which initially I thought wasn't so good for photographing, but now I think it provides a nice contrast to stonework.

Hi Andrew!

This is an interesting photo with the reddish color in all shot incluide the sky, giving him to an aspect and special atmosphere. All the places where the time leaves its track accumulate special histories and this it must be one of those places. I've been in Ireland some years ago and love each part of this country.
