'As I was going nowhere through Cork and Kerry mountains'

If you're still pondering over this line and it doesn't seem familiar, I won't keep you waiting.
The sentence is the first phrase of the famous Irish song. You know it well, as it was covered so many times...Thin Lizzy, Metallica, Dubliners and many many others! ...

Yes! It's 'Whiskey in the jar'!

And those 'Kerry mountains' the song talks about are visible in the picture above in the background. They emerge from the shadows hidden in the clouds a bit.

Killarney National Park is one of the most fabulous spots in Ireland. It's appreciated for its unspoilt environment and beautiful views. It's the composition of mountains, waterfalls, rocks and lakes. And you can see almost all of it in the photo. The atmosphere on that September day was idyllic and a little bit mysterious!
