Photographer’s Note
This photo will give you an idea of where my previous uploads were taken. The lighthouse is clearly seen and the old one can just be made out on the left of the island. Even though the sea appears relatively calm, the swell was too high on this day to disembark. It gave me a chance to get some shots from angles that I usually wouldnt have seen.
The original was a lot darker than this but I messed with the levels to bring out more detail of the island's features.

Danny, that is a wonderful angle. The composition and height depth is quite amazing. It is very interesting to see different tones of the blue and green colours on the sea surface. Also the reflection added more than normal reflections to that beauty. Anyway, lets we stop and the photo talks. Thanks for sharing, Alpay.

Lovely picture Danny !
The clouds, even the waves seem to be drawn to this barren island. (if anyone would like some more info on Skellig, they can find it here)
A little contrast could be added without losing detail.
An extra point for your bravery ;-)

A great composition as the streaks of clouds seem to radiate from the top of the mountain.

What a place, great, good photo, with a good position for the light house and the benefit of a good sky.

Well Danny,
This is a very good photo, I like it a lot, the colours of the island are very nice, the angle you took it is very nice, the contras are good, and the cropping if you did is very nice. Very good job here.

Great Shots mate. I thought I got a few nice ones, but yours have really put me in my place. I like what you have done on photoshop too, you've really made the most the dramatic sky.

Trés belle photo de l'Ile. Elle a abrité un des premiers monastère d'Irlande, c'est un lieu mythique pour de nombreux irlandais. La photo fait ressortir son lien avec le ciel.
Bonne soirée

Hi Danny
Wonderful shot from the water and this reminds me of the Thunderbirds island from my youth. Great shot.Perhaps a bit more contrast and darker would improve it.

Hello Danny,
Fantastic shot of Skellig Michael from your boat! I tried to get to this island on the last few day of my camping trip down the west coast but if you remember the weather for the first week of June was exceptional and the downside of that was by the time I got to this point its was fully booked (by Americans) that day and the next. So I never got over to the Islands..Dam, well maybe next time. Very well done.
