Photographer's Note

This is the Liffey Bridge, known by Dubliners as the Ha'penny Bridge and in Irish as the Droichead na Life. The bridge is one of seven bridges linking each side of Dublin City over the River Liffey. It was built in 1816, of cast iron and most recently renovated in 2001. Nearly 30,000 pedestrians cross this bridge daily, so the bridge is both a practical necessity as well as being exquisitely beautiful.
