Photographer’s Note

Wicklow Mountains National Park covers part of a mountain range that extends over most of County Wicklow on the east coast of Ireland. The upper slopes and rounded peaks are blanketed with heath and bog. The open vistas are interrupted only by forestry plantations and the winding mountain roads. Fast-flowing streams descend into the deep lakes of the wooded valleys and continue their course into the surrounding lowlands.

The primary purpose of Wicklow Mountains National Park is the conservation of local biodiversity and landscape. The Park is also an invaluable recreational space for locals and visitors alike. Over one million visits are estimated to be made each year. The most visited area is the scenic Glendalough Valley where the ancient monastic settlement of St. Kevin is located. Escape from the summer crowds is possible for those coming properly equipped to explore the uplands on foot, where a sense of wilderness and isolation can readily be found.

Czesc Pawel,
Kto by powiedzal, ze to kolo Dublina ;) Piekny widoczek z niesamowita glebia. Mam podobne zdjecie na PC (moze kiedys pokaze) ale ja czesciowo stalem w chmurach, wiec nie za wiele widac. Ty miales troszke wiecej szczescia majac je tuz nad glowa. Jest klimat!! Oj chyba sie trzeba bedzie jeszcze raz tam wybrac. Piekne!

byles w okolicy i nie wpadles. :)
Zdjecie super. Bardzo podoba mi sie ostrosc az po horyzont. Polacie ziemi maja mnostwo roznych odcieni szczegolnie w oddali. Swietnie wzmocnione niebo -doskonale uzycie filtra polowkowego. Ladnie wygladzona powierzchnia jeziora.
Bardzo typowy irlandzki nastroj.
Wicklow wygladaja tu o wiele ladniejsze niz sa.

A typical irish landscape , in its autumn colors . The light management is outstanding , with this bad weather . Superb sharpness , too .

Hi Pawel,
Next time I will be in Ireland, I think I will visit Wicklow Mountains, one of the places I never saw until now ! Not a fantastic weather, but a very nice POV with a fantastic depth of field and beautiful autumn colours. Sharpness is excellent.

Hi Pawel,
You did a great job in caputring such a colorful landscape under this gray sky, but there are many different layers for clouds with different shade rather than just a large plain old gray. So there is much depth to it. the different layers of the rolling hills are also really beautifu in reddish bronw and green. Great composistion, good DoF. Sharpness and clarity is just perfect consider the light condistion. My sincere complements, and thanks.

Wicklow mountains w pieknej odslonie. Musze przyznac ze w takiej okolicy chcialoby sie zamieszkac na dluzej nawet w klasztorze;-)
A tak serio to swietny kadr i ladne jesienne kolory, podoba mi sie ta atramentowa tafla jeziora Glendalough.
Piekne miejsce!
