Photographer’s Note
...in Ireland!
Well, I don't really know, what else I can say, because everything is on this picture. This is one of most beautiful Sundays this summer.
I don't really know what's wrong with the weather- maybe its the recession and they want save some light for next year? :P Anyway...
Skerries, a picturesque and historic seaside town lying on east coast of Ireland, only 35 minutes from Dublin, is a real gem for the day tripper and tourist wanting to step back a space. A thriving and friendly community with tree lined, carefully preserved and quaint streets, adorned with hanging baskets in the summer.
With the only west facing harbour on the east coast, Skerries enjoys spectacular sunsets and is awash with pubs and restaurants. Even in winter there is something quietly romantic and atmospheric about this lovely fishing village - hole up in one of the cosy pubs by a roaring fireside as the wind and rain lash outside and enjoy one of the many music sessions available.
Have a nice evening and hopefully better weather than on this picture!!

Hello Dariusz! Don't you complain about the dark clouds :))) they work fantastic but we all know what you mean of course, we suffer with you. We have the opposite in Switzerland, with a wonderful and hot August, almost too hot. Anyway, back to your picture, love this wide open view, what a fantastic beach, what great patterns in the wet sand. You bet, one day I visit Ireland in winter, this stands on my wishlist for a long time. The roaring fireside sounds perfect for me. Have a wonderful evening, with rain maybe but there is still a fireplace going somewhere :))) Best regards, Barbara.

Love the colours and the texture of clouds contrasting with the texture of the ground.
This summer they predicted amazing weather, well, so much for that :)

Hello Dariusz,
La composition est superbe avec ces deux mouvements elliptiques en opposition, ce qui donne une dynamisme énorme à la vue. Avec un beau graphisme des ondulations sur le sable et un bel échantillon de lumière irlandaise. Joli travail.
Friendly yours.
Guy.

Hi Dariusz
Apparantly Ireland is not famous for it's summers so such weather doesn't surprise me. In any case it's local as the last few weeks have been beautiful here - a real summer.
I love the strong contrasts and details of the ripples on the sand. Superb depth too.

Hello Dariusz,
A fien contrasting combination of the ribbled sand and the sky, grey as ever but well profi_led. And both fleeing to the horizon.

Fajne zdjecie

Hello Dariusz.
Sense of depth and of empty space.
Great sky and well-balanced composition (sky and ground have both the 50% of the shot).
Good work.
Best regards.
Bobo.
P.S. I'm sorry, I've no more point today. I'll see you later!

Hi Darek,
i think last year the weather in Ireland wasn't really better. And these clouds are giving the scenery such a dramatic touch. Your POV is excellent.

Hello Darek,
A superb perspective running the length of this beach as it disappears at the vanishing point. The little runnels caused by the tide take us ever deeper into the image. The darkening sky create a particular mood heightened by the virtual absence of people. Excellent sharpness.

An excellent minimalist image in 'baba_flies' tradition. I love the way the ripples have been used to draw the eye into the scene as well as the marks on the clouds lead the same way.
I wonder if this year's weather has been worse in Ireland than in the UK, as it's usually pretty similar. This year here hasn't been great, but it's 100% better than last year. Even though we've had quite a lot of wind and rain the temperatures have been good and usually over 20°C. Today we have very warm, but strong winds with intermittent showers and sunny spells in my part of England (NE)

Bonjour Darek.
Cette photo est excellente, son sujet c'est l'espace. J'aime ce premier plan de sable ciselé par les courants et j'aime également le ciel qui s'oppose au sable par sa texture et ses couleurs.
Un vrai plaisir !

Hi Darek,
in contrast to Ireland, in Texas this summer is being one of the sunniest... the climate change..... anyway, the picture is excellent despite the sun is not present, great perspective and details, I like the visual effect of the striped sand... well done!
Have a great weekend!

Hej Darek,
No cóż, wąska specjalizacja... :)
Jesteś NAczelnym Pesymistą TE. ;) Te szarobure nieba, ciężkie chmury, depresyjne tonacje...
Absolutnie niesamowity nastrój, genialnie prosta kompozycja i jak zwykle techniczna jakość przyprawiająca o zawrót głowy.
Piękna praca!
Pozdrawiam serdecznie.
