The Lamps of Dublin II Photo

Photographer’s Note

Hi Trekkies,
Hunting season for the street lamps in Dublin continues! :)
First one was from Grattan Bridge, the second one is the beautiful Paris Secession style street lamp, I spotted on Capel Street.
Looking at this picture I'm really not sure: is this Dublin or some Irish pub in Paris? :)

Ciekawy kadr, zwlaszcza 'wyborcze plakaty' w oknach :)
czego sie nie robi, a w zasadzie, gdzie to sie ich nie wiesza, zeby dotrzec do wyborcow ;)

Piwska raczej nie pije, ale moj kolega mowi, ze nie jest prawda, jak w reklamie, ze n ajlepszym piwem swiata jest Heineken, ale wlasnie Guinness. No wiec niech tak bedzie.

Ja bym tu powiedziała, że głównym tematem przewodnim jest napój gazowany, alkoholizowany:)
Lampę wolałabym z boku, gdzieś...kosze typowe wyspiarskie, do tego podoba mi się kolorowy akcent - odbicie ceglane w oknach :)

Jaka tam lampa... dla mnie mysla przewodnia w tak piekny i upalny (?)dzien jest bialy napis na czarnym tle! Probuje sobie skojarzyc, ktory to pub, ale jakos mi kiepsko to idzie;) Ladne kolorki i dobrze doswietlone ciemne partie jak na scenke w cieniu.

dear Chris,
this and previous shots show me very Dublin-views,
lamps or lanterns are nice symbols of the cities, in my feeling, those make original city-scapes.
I like this atmosphere so much, and of course colors are tasteful.
I can feel like just walking about this street.

Hello Chris,
A very good urban composition of this local bar where the lamp takes second place in my mind. I like the tonal palette, whilst the reflections in the upper windows are a nice addition. Very good sharpness.

hmmm ta chyba nawet ladniejsza niz poprzednia i to jeszcze przed pubem. Pewnie trzasnales fotke i wstapiles na guinnesa co?:) czekam na kolejne.

Hi Chris,
I like very much the architecture and the colours of the image, they are full of charm that perspire in the photo. I like also the reflections on the windows. I like the compo, but I am not sure if if wasn't better if the left part wasn't cropped; after all, you placed the main subject centrally, so I would expect a more symmetric compo. Interesting idea, this one of applying Felip's idea in Dublin.

Lovely that plate of parking for disabled people, it's good to see this kind of things nowadays.
I'm afraid that you weren't trying to show us that signal...am I wrong?...crooky man, always thinking in what you and I know!. One of these days I will upload a pict of a bar here in BCN that you'll surely like.
...no I didn't forget the lamp!, nice of course!
