Photographer's Note

I can't really stand the weather we currently have in Dublin: constant rain, wind, rain and wind again. So I'm coming back to one of a very few mild evenings we've had this year in Dublin... It's the view of the Dun Laoghaire marina in the eveing time.

Dun Laoghaire Harbour is located about six miles southeast of Dublin City Centre. It is about 3 minutes walk from Dun Laoghaire town centre (you can take a direct train from the City Centre to get there - approx. 30 mins). The harbour itself was built between 1817 and 1842. It is possible to take a leisurely stroll along both the east and west piers of the harbour at any time. The East Pier is particularly popular among young and old alike in the summer months.

So fingers crossed for decent weather this weekend!

Witaj, ładny widok śpiącej mariny, a ja ciągle nie wiem, czy żeglarze tam śpią na tych łódkach, a jak nie, to w jaki sposób dostają sie na brzeg? A Ty, czy też zeglujesz, czy tylko fotografujesz? Bardzo miły wieczór nad zatoką. Cudne kolorki.

Cos mi sie wydaje ze wiatr byl silny bo maszty poruszone nawet przy 1 sek. :)
Kolejny swietny shot Darku.
Przede wszystkim niebo i morze ma fantastyczne kolory i wzor, Lodki i beton dodaja fajnego punktu odniesienia.
Ciekawa atmosfera wieczoru.
Byles w dobrym miejscu o dobrym czasie.

Actually I didn't know which one to prefer between this one and "And a day is gone", they are both a wonderful sunset scenary. Here I like the lovely pattern all those boats create with thir masts in the air and reflected in the sea, and the almost geometrical regularity of the composition with the line og the clouds parallel to that of the jetty and shore line in the bg. Needless to say colours and atmosphere are wonderful.
Well chosen and well done.

I have something VERY similar ni my gallery as well, but from the other side of teh world.
