Shot this scene in Skerries during a traditional harvest demonstration last August. Of course it poured rain that day - August weather in Ireland is unpredictable! The tractor is a classis Massey-Ferguson TE20, or "Grey Fergie" as they were affectionately known. The mill in background is Skerries Mills.
PP: desaturated to mono, assed some contrast, darkened sky a little, sharpened.

Great conversion to B&W. The vintage look of the tractor complements this alot. TFS!

Old and (not so) new technology on display on a wonderful photo. All those diagonal stripes of land, the slightly sepia tones add graphic interest to the tractor and the mill. The tractor is very cute, somehow reminiscent of a cartoon, with its front reminding a face.
Great work indeed.

Hi Tim, a very nice B&W photo. Good subject details and nice compo. Its a pity the sky is without details as it always adds drama and more so in B&W. Very well done.

Sembra una foto di una volta. Ottimo B&W e ottima composizione.

Great composition and subject. Black and white looks good here, but I like that this shot still maintains something of a green tone, or so it seems to me. It helps it seem more pastoral than just plain black and white would.
