On my way out last night, I figured I'd throw my tripod in my bag. Its the end of the summer / beginning of autumn here in Ireland and there's a special kind of magic in the air at night. Its like the witching hour or the twighlight holds some kind of spell.
Anyway on the way home after the football, I took some shots. This one was taken from on top of a bus shelter.
Monkstown is so called as there is an old monastry and castle keep here since the 15th century. This shot is of the churches at the center of the village.
This is my first long exposure with my new camera (Canon G6). I'm kinda pleased.
Comments and pointers apprecieated (as always!)

Nice image, but I think you've over-exposed the image. A shorter shutter speed might have given greater effect, maybe 2-3 sec. The lights are just too bright with too much glare. Nice image from the top of the bus shelter.

I really like the streaky modern art feel from the lights next to the detailed design of the church/castle. I do kind of agree with the other critique of it being overexposed- well, just the really bright part. You get a green smiley for climbing on top of a bus shelter, though. Thats impressive. :)

Super shot of Monkstown as I´ve never seen it before... There´s a superb gold light to it! Most beautiful!
