Photographer’s Note

Temple Bar used to be an artists' district, a place of numerous galleries, independent cinemas, home to musicians and poets. Today it's mostly the night life center, with hundreds of pubs. If there's any place where the spirit of old Temple Bar still remains, it's this entrance gate with old lamp-posts and record shops.

The camera was set to manual focus, to about 5 m (on AF, it was focusing wildly on anything except the point I was interested in). My aim was to capture a moment when the foreground was't all filled with the crowd, but there was enough people in the frame to create a vivid image.

PP - levels to get more details in the shadows.
