It seems to me that Bord Gáis Energy Theatre is the Noel's favourite place in Dublin. I saw several of his shots of this place here and of course, I wanted to see it. When I arrived there after the whole day sightseeing it was already night. I was lucky (again!) because the red poles were brightly lit, in Noel's photos they were dark and there were only these fluorescent green parts lit. Not much other lights so I could not appreciate the architecture of the whole theatre and found this quite difficult to make decent photo.
The Bord Gáis Energy Theatre is a 2,111-capacity theatre in Dublin, Ireland which opened on 18 March 2010. Designed by Daniel Libeskind it is located in the Grand Canal Dock area as a touring theatre for Ballet, Opera, Musicals and Concerts.
It was officially opened with a performance of Swan Lake by the Russian State Ballet of Siberia. The building was opened as the Grand Canal Theatre, but was renamed during March 2012 as part of a naming rights agreement with Bord Gáis worth a reported €4.5 million. It will have this name until 2018 at least.

A beautiful picture, but too noisy for my taste, but the colors are fantastic.
Merry Christmas! .........

Ce bâtiment doit être très apprécié par les photographes locaux, tant par son architecture que par ses illuminations.

This is quite a different approach to the prevailing christmas theme, but non the less a very attractive one. The illuminated Theatre with its modern shapes and lines is very attractive indeed.
Merry christmas and a happy new year to you and your loved ones.

Thank you :) Yes indeed, for modern architecture this is certainly my favorite place in Dublin, and it always makes me smile to see the red poles lit like this, as you rightly say whenever I go they seem to be switched off. Saving power I guess! You really did capture the spirit of this place perfectly here, the red poles and green backlight always remind me instantly of this theatre, and a nice bonus that you have the blue tones coming from the car park entrance on the right too, I've never seen that before!
The shapes and angles of the theatre are captured nicely here, especially with how it reflects the red and green strip lights in places, showing the real Liebeskind work to perfection. Lovely image, thanks for sharing. And thanks for thinking of me when posting :)
Seasons Greetings from Ireland!!
