The Old Jameson Distillery is quite popular tourist attraction, and queues for informative tours an be long. But don't worry, they have done their best to make waiting time comfortable!

The distillery was founded in 1780 and closed down in 1971 when distilling was moved to Midleton. For a tourist it's actually good that this happened over 40 years ago. You can certainly feel the old distillery charm on the guided tours.

Ah, the Bar at Jameson distillery, so nice. A well framed and timed shot of the Bar interior with lots of interesting details going on.
Did you know, the best way to enjoy the samples here is to present yourself as a volontier for an experiment at the opening presentation of the tour, thus you are choosen for a round of degustation of 5 whiskeys with notes and all, while the rest of the tour group has to contend them selfs with just one sample.

J'aime l'atmosphère de ce bar à whiskey, avec ses luminaires et ses murs de vieille brique. Les personnages apportent une belle présence.

I like this daily scene and the atmosphere of this Bar, with its walls of brick, a beautiful mirror and a few elegant chandeliers.
It looks like a very pleasant place to take a whiskey calmly.
In addition, I like the whiskey Jameson.
A good and spontaneous shot.

Hi Kari

Such a cosy looking place, just perfect for a wee snifter of Jamesons. You captured this scene and the atmosphere well, making us want to take the tour. I don't know if you are a whiskey drinker, but my Irish father-in-law enjoys a drop- and has explained to me that an Irishman is either a Bushmills or a Jamesons man. It's almost like a religion! Thanks for sharing, I hope you're enjoying your trip.

Nice looking room with a lot of character. I do not know much about Irish whiskey... always busy drinking the Scottish brands !!!!!
