I like your slice-of-daily life photo for Dublin. It reminds me of a joke I heard from an airline attendant on a recent flight. Without batting an eye, the man said, "Three Irishman walked out of pub..." Then after a short pause, he continued, "It can happen, you know."

Hello dear Kari

At least it is the kegs of beer and not YOU who is rolling down the road after being in that pub ;) Even in miniature, there was something about the light which let me know this was Ireland. I like the daily life scene, particularly the idea of the kegs and the way a pub is run - something that has not really changed all that much over the years, I'd imagine. The reflections on the pavement from the rain are a nice extra touch.

It is a well-chosen framing, in a straight-angle shot that works very well graphically, and gives a nice perspective to the interesting content of the street. The light and the shades have a beautiful effect on the elements, and the colors are magnificent. Vertical format works well here. Nicely done.

now you know this won't do much to dispell the sterotype of people drinking alcohol in Ireland! haha!!

there are a couple of pretty funny comments written, I like the joke by Bulent and the comments made by Lisa :)

its great to see the everyday life street scene like this one here. without the beer, it looses alot of its appeal :)

Hi Kari,
great capture. I lived in Ireland for 5 years and I always wanted to use these barrels in my photo but I was never happy with the outcome. You did a great job capturing so many typical Irish elements here.
