I had some time on the coast in Doolin when I came across this green pond of seaweed. I even got some sunlight and nice clouds. I took this handheld, even though I had the tripod ready. But I had to work fast as the light was changing constantly.

Exposure: 1/30 sec

Great shot Hauke. I love the fact that you took a relatively normal or "not so pretty" piece of nature, in the moss, and made it the centerpiece of a spectacular looking photo. That is one sign of a great photographer - the ability to make a normal scene look anything but normal.
The saturated colors look great, especially the light green of the moss in the foreground, which really is an eye catching and extremely strong focal point. Perfect sky and background and really great use of a wide angle lens. Composition is excellent. The whole photo seems to eminate from the moss in the foreground and just seems to be perfectly put in place around it. Sharp and detailed also.
Great work.
John
Hi Hauke. Nice wide angle photo. Good foreground interest and excellent DOF. Well composed and thanks for sharing.

Hello Hauke,
You have a very fine gallery. This one is a particularly good composition with a balanced fore/background. Colors are excellent, esp. the green of the seaweed. It's a shame that this picture has not received due attention. Regards,
Hakan
Hello !
this green pond gives a very dynamic view to your picture. Even if the picture is really nice without it, it's really better with it. Doolin is a wonderfull place and the coast too. You capture it very well !
