End of day at Strandhill Photo

Photographer’s Note

After having dinner in a restaurant of Sligo, I ended this beautiful day with a short walk in Strandhill, a small seaside resort at the end of a point about 10 kilometers west of Sligo. The scenic coastal road from Sligo to Strandhill offers nice views on Sligo Bay and Benbulben mountain. At the end of the road, Strandhill is a long unique street, with its B&Bs, its pubs ... and its surf shops, since the beach, totally exposed to west, is a worldwide known surf sport for what I read. I had great pleasure walking on this beach, foot of wonderful dunes, breathing iodized air, with sunbeams giving a little warmth. In the background you can see the outline of Benbulben.

Hi Olivier, I see you have spent a nice day in Sligo. Walking on the beach, what a great pleasure it is. I like scenery of your photo, I find it very relaxing.

Un bel équilibre de couleurs et j'aime particulièrement le vert jaune sur la falaise qui donne le LA de cette composition.

Salut Olivier,
Quel sentiment d'espace!
Ta photo est très bien composée. Il y a de très jolies courbes avec la ligne du sommet de la falaise celle des galets en haut de la plage soulignée par la limite de la marée haute. Les couleurs sont dorée mais restent douces. Enfin les nuages complètent bien la composition. C'est très agréable à regarder, bravo!

Hi Olivier!
A great shot from the beach,with amazing depth.I like the composition with the few people and the lonely house in the distance.I like too how the brown sand is framed by the blue tones of the sea and the green ones of the vegetation on top of the dunes.Must be a great place for a walk.

Hello Olivier,
Not the usual pristine sandy beach but dark brown with pebbles. Shot at the right moment when the sand is still wet and dark. Good composition too.
