Photographer’s Note

Good evening all,

First thing I'd like to do is to thank to all who left comments and critique on my last entries.
I unfortunately don't have enough time to get to all of you individually but I'll try my best to do so.

Now.. this is another shot taken during last weekend up in Sligo, showing one tiny harbor in the place called Raughly. It's currently under development so I had to walk around for a good while till I was able to find a composition without disturbing equipment, machinery and so on.
Sun was low above horizon, on the left hand side so I used CPL and Grad filters to bring the whole scene into one tone.

I hope you'll like this view.

Hi Viktor, I love the blue tone to this and the tranquil mood you captured. If possible I would have tried to get elevation so as the mountain and harbour be separate, whether this was possible I don't know. Other than that little nit I really like this. Well done..

A beautiful image from a nice place.I like these blue tones and the light at these boats and the pier.Good depth with the mountains in the far distance.

Hello Viktor,
You've captured the warm lighting extremely well....the filters certainly did their "trick". The portrait format has allowed you to include a substantial amount of the sky as well as foreground water, creating a dominantly blue photo contrasted nicely by the bright red boat. The image has a peaceful feel to it....nice flat water and no storms on the horizon. Well done.

Hello Viktor,
interesting photo! the dark blue at the bottom and part of dark blue at the top, it's almost like a frame to the photo, and yet, an indispensable element of the whole picture. Original perspective!
The colours and the bright sunlit boats create a very nice atmosphere... I think that the mountain in the background far in the distance looks quite ok to emphasize the boats and the building in the harbour.

Very nice gradual toning in the foreground and wonderful light. The combination of CPL and Grads always does wonders. I like it!
