Photographer’s Note
Innisherk Island is part of the Crom Estate on Upper Lough Erne, the novelist Shan F (John William) Bullock was born in this house (1865-1935), his father being the stewart of the estate. Some of his books being records of his early ilfe living in the area(By Trasna River, Dan the Dollar, The Loughsiders).
The bridge in the foreground being the link to the island, a beautiful place of a walk with both wild and farmed deer to be seen among other wildlife and plants.

There's a touch or rather a strong feel of abstraction in this picture... the bridge, straight, with a simple repetitive pattern, leads the eye sharply to the left where the house is located. The straightness, the pattern and the sharp turn - these these three elements exist separately from the closed rural scene...
(Though I might be under the impression of the photos I've just seen)
