Photographer’s Note
I am sorry to disappoint all fans of the actress Michelle Monaghan (seen recently in Gone, Baby Gone or Mission Impossible III), but this upload is about Monaghan town in Ireland.
I have mentioned previously that most TE members when uploading their photographs from Ireland present mainly the spectacular west coast or Dublin town. They are rarely stopping in the centre of Ireland. If you check the central counties they are indeed under-represented on TE. Moreover, many shots which are grouped under these counties, are there by mistake. If you’d check for instance County Carlow you could find there photos from Giant’s Causeway (Northern Ireland) or Powerscourt Gardens (County Wicklow) or even couple of shots with beautiful beaches (except this county does not have access to the sea). It is similar case for County Monaghan. So I am proud to announce that this is the first photograph from Monaghan town in TE.
Monaghan (Irish: Muineachán) is the administrative capital of County Monaghan. Monaghan's population at the 2006 census stood at 7,811 (including rural area). The town is located on the main road - the N2 road - from Dublin north to both Derry and Letterkenny. The centre of the town is made up of four interconnecting squares: Market Square (or Street), Church Square, The Diamond, and Old Cross Square.
The Rossmore Memorial (presented in this picture) in The Diamond was built in 1876 as a memorial to the 4th Baron Rossmore who died after a hunting accident at Windsor Castle in 1874. This Victorian monument is octagonal in shape, with central marble columns supporting a fountain. Around it, the eight gray columns support the pinnacled superstructure which rises to a dome. The dome is surmounted by a spire supported by yet more columns. The letters of Rossmore (also 8 in number) are spaced out around the monument.

Fajnie jest pokazywać sth new, sth different, bo jak widzę Big Ben once again to....
Wracając do foty, stunning composition, zwłaszcza typowa krata na jezdni wkomponowana w kadr, auteczko po INNEJ stronie i centralne pokazanie memoriału.
TFS, TF being the FIRST!

Hej Mariusz,
Fajna turystyczna praca.

Calkiem ladnie zalatalo by gorna czesc fotki. Nie mniej jednak doskonaly, edukacyjny element i tresciwa nota.
