These are the ruins of Cong Abbey, an augustinian abbey of 12th century. The abbey stans in the center of Cong, a small village between Lough Corrib on south and Lough Mask on north, on the frontier between County Galway and County Mayo. In 1951, Cong was the film location for famous John Ford film, The quiet man, with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. Close to the village centre stands Ashford Castle, one of the most beautiful hotel in the world.

What an atmospheric picture! Your point of view is excellent here and it shows a bit the dimensions of these ruins. A great photo!

So innocuous subject but nicely composed.
Good colors & nice details.
But the green ground is overexposed a bit.

Great POV and compo. I must compliment colour choice. I think it is good that you stressed the green colour. It makes this capture standing out in a good way. Well done indeed!
Best regards, Jeri.

I like the slight angle you chose to take this as it allows us to see the inside of the arches too. Very good detail captured.
