This is Roche castle in co louth bathed in moonlight on a semiclear night 227sec exposure iso 800.I think the moonlight gives good impact to these old ruins.

i too have been playing with long exposure shots and i like your effort. you have been able to capture the trails of the stars and the cloud movement in the sky have added to the shot.
there appears to be some noise in the sky possibly caused by the high ISO setting. try reducing the ISO and increasing the exposure this might help reduce the graining.

I agree with you, the moonlight gave a nice look to this already nice ruins. I like the choice of B&W for a night picture. It is unusual, but here it certainly looks well. The high ISO created some noise in the sky, but not so high as to make it a disturbing factor. I like the motion blur of the clouds very much as well.
