Photographer’s Note
Not the most original title, I know--I'm sure everyone who's been to this area has ripped off the title of Connemara's most famous song--but fitting. This was taken down the road from the famous Kylemore Abbey, and was probably the best light we had until the evening.
The Connemara region is a beautiful area, but rather remote, as it is tucked away in a corner of western Ireland. The area is dominated by the Twelve Bens (or Twelve Pins) mountain range, with numerous lakes and relatively few people. It's about a two-hour drive from the city of Galway to get to this spot, but there are plenty of beautiful mountains along the way, many of them much more rugged.
This shot is straight out of the camera, other than sharpening and resizing. I may do a repost eventually, but for now I wanted to share something from Ireland.

Hi Clark,
I really love it ! The left is a bit dark, but the mountains in the background have wonderful colour and you caught a great light on them. The sky is very nice and the sharpness is excellent.

HI:)
The landscape is lovely, the left part bothers me, but on the whole I like it.
The water is brilliant:)

Hello Clark -
Very nice scene ... I've been there and it is lovely. This scene is a good candidate for dual processing. Process once for the sky and then again for the FG and blend the two layer together.
thank you for sharing.

Hi, Clark!
I love this shot. Well done. The bushes to the left are a bit dark, but still OK. All in all fantastic colors and a nice composition. I think some of the best here are the many different types of clouds, and the dramatic colors of the sky. It's a nice reflection too.
Best regards from Bergen!

Hi Clark.
Really nice landscape, capturing a great sky, lovely light, cloud's shadow on the slope, and the wonderful ripples created by the breeze. Perhaps the detail of the vegetation on the left could be improved with a little more processing, but it's a pretty good exposure straight from the camera.
Regards,
Andrew

Clark,
This is a well composed shot with the trees on the left in the foreground and the mountains in the rear. The sky is outstanding and you have captured it nicely. The trees on the left are a bit dark, a little fill flash would help it a lot. The colors are fine as is the sharpness and detail.

Asa

G'day Clark!
I see your travels are taking you further afield these days - lucky you! You've captured the beauty of Ireland in this lovely composition - and as others (including me) have said, the foreground could do with some lightening - check the workshop I've posted to see what I mean.
Best wishes,
Jeff
