Photographer’s Note

Hi there,

Today I have uploaded another shot that I took during my last trip to Donegal. It presents the view from the Fanad Head.

Fanad (official name: Fánaid)is a peninsula that lies between Lough Swilly and Mulroy Bay on the north coast of County Donegal. There is a signposted scenic tour around the peninsula - handy to have a car however. Fanad is noted for its rugged coastline - which provides many areas for pollock fishing.

Hello Darek,
The interesting and dramatic sky creates a nice mood in this fine seascape. I like the framing from the gorse bushes, which relieve the otherwise dominant blue tones. Very good sharpness. Have a good weekend.

Nasteony wspanialy widok prosto z Zielonej Wyspy, zapiera dech ta ogromna przestrzen. Jaki czlowiek jest maly wobec tej przyrody, co zreszta dobitnie widac.

bonjour Sariusz,

j'aime beaucoup les contrastes dans les lumières. Le ciel magnifique a été capturé par une main de maître. Je devine un Post processing qui a encore amélioré les contrastes de l'image de ce paysage naturel superbe.

Witaj darek, Archiwalne foto - z maja :)). Bardzo szeroka panorama. Fajne małe ludziki widać na półwyspie. I te żółte krzaczory bardzo dekoracyjne. Świetne chmury.

Mimo pochmurnego nieba obraz jest przyjemny w odbiorze. Sylwetki ludzkie malutki, daja wyobrazenie o przestrzeni w tym morskim krajobrazie.

A beautiful sky! It seems that the clouds are moving very fast, and this gives an impressive dimension to your shot!
I think it would have been nice too in B&W.

The sky is wonderful; inparticular the way the clouds seem to fan out above the distant hills. Well composed image with the gorse in the foreground for added colour and extra depth.

belle photo de cette crique bordée de superbes rochers recouvert d' herbes et de fleurs.
Ces montagnes au fond donne un bel effet et une bonne profondeur de champ a votre photo.
Jolies couleurs et ce ciel tourmenté est de toute beauté.

Those two tiny figures on the cliff make a difference!
what a sense of immensity! And the yellow bushes (very similar to ones we have here...) makes a pleasant chromatic contrast with the cloudy sky. A fine example of how to get a masterful composition even with bad weather. I do like it.

Hello Dariusz,
Dark sunless skies can provide beautiful views as is shown by this prime example. On condition however that light is well managed to show the details of the sculpted grey sky. Well done.
