Photographer’s Note

Hi Folks,

My Donegal series cont'd.

I took this picture not far away from the beach I've already shown you few times (Stocker Strand, Portsalon). What you can see on this photo is as follows (from the left to the right):
- Lenan Head
- Urris Hills
- Dunree Fort.

I would encourage you to visit this part of Ireland, if you get a chance. You need a car however, because there is a lot to see provided you can travel independently. And all you need is a good map and decent weather - otherwise good map, waterproof jacket and hot coffe ;)

Hi Darek,

good picture! I like the sky and the effect of the waves in the sea.. it's beautiful, the image has a great depth and the sharpness is excellent, great composition!

Ależ tu słychać wiatr i widać zwłaszcza na tej pięknej wodzie i dynamicznym niebie. Musisz się czuć niesamaowicie przebywając w takich przestrzeniach. Oprócz pieknej tekstury wody bardzo podobają mi się także odcienie wody (jasne i ciemniejsze za sprawą chmur). Do tego super ostrość i światlo choć widac, że nie było łatwe.

A good demonstration that it is possible to take an excellent photo in cloudy conditions. The minimalist composition needs the thirds rule applied like this. You have captured the wonderful sheen on the water that adds to the success of the image.

Piêkny, pochmurny pejza¿, morze zmarszczone bryz±, wieje chyba spod tych chmur, ciekawe czy nie pada³o. Gdy ja parê lat temu by³em w Irlandii, raz pada³o tydzieñ bez przerwy.

krajobraz moze troche monotonny ale notka wyjasnia co tam daleko widac. Ciezkie chmury, fajne te przeblyski z odbiciami w wodzie. Dobra jakosc.

Hi Darek. This looks a little bleak with the wind on the water and grey clouds, wonderfully atmospheric. Well composed with good detail, shame we are restricted to 800 pixels in this case. Nice work and thanks for sharing.

Czesc Darku,
To zdjecie blizsze jest prawdziwemu obliczu Irlandii.
Na horyzoncie zarys najwyrazniej ciekawego wybrzeza, ale...
jak to na zielonej wyspie: wcale zielonego koloru nie widac a zaledwie szarosc. Przy tym a nawet gorszym swietle dane jest nam widziec Irlandie przez wiekszosc dni w roku. Jak to powiedzial pewien medrzec: Irlandia bardzo wiele zyskuje przy brzydkiej pogodzie...
Na szczescie szare wzgorza umiesciles w ciekawym kontekscie interesujacego nieba i to wzmacnia bardzo fotke.
Dla mnie zdjecie tym razem bardzo naturalistyczne, przygnebiajace, smutne, prawdziwe.

you have captured a wonderful atmosphere of the sea with the rippled water. The pastel colors and the gentle light are very pleasant. But it is this natural and so very typical sky that from my point of view is very attractive! Excellent POV. TFS!

I'm home for a few days and I couldn't help visiting TE... I've been impressed by the atmosphere of this photo: so fine in spite of the cloudy weather. I think the sky here really gives a strong character to the image. A simple composition which keeps all the charm of the place. Well done,
