Winding River II Photo

Photographer’s Note

Another view of this winding river, which I posted recently: Winding River. Again I deliberately used the zoom lens to crop in close for this shot at the time I too it.

PP: scanned from a small (6" x 4") print, adjusted levels, saturation, sharpened with unsharp mask. I did not run Neat Image, and as a result there is still some noise in the image.

Hi Tim,
Only Ireland can offer this type of landscape. That's why I love the country so much, although I haven't come back there for years, except a few day in Dublin a few weeks ago.
Here, I like the green foreground and, also the special color of the water on the river shores.

Beautifull landscape. The composition is excellent with differents parts in different colors. The ships give a live touch.

Very charming view, Tim.
Noise, IMHO, is not always a negative factor. It lends character to your picture here. The silvery sheen of the river is counter-balanced by dark shoreline.

this is a beautiful scenery, though there is still some noice on the picture, the colours are very nice and composition also.

Hi Tim, This could be straight from some part of NZ. Good grass needs plenty of rain and good soil, Ireland has both. Good rural composition. Good colours and POV. Rgds Murray.

Hi Tim.
this is an amazing view on this beautiful landscape. The inverted S shape of the river is really nice and I like your choice of composition to present it.
Very nice light management. my only 'negative' point will go to the sharpness which seems a bit artificially exagerated.
Beautiful shot anyway.
