Photographer's Note
THE SUNBEAM A seventy four ton schooner built in England in the 1860, THE boat was owned by RICHARD KIERNAN or KEARON of ARKLOW and seems to have been used to deliver cargo around IRELAND.The Sunbeam was sailing in ballast from KILVARA to CORK when she met her end. CAUGHT in a gale she ran around on ROSSBEIGH beach on January 28 1903. Fortunatly there was no loss of life

Hi Eric,
I absolutely love this image. I really like the foreground and awesome depth with that exquisite sky. It is nearly perfect for me with the small exception of your having let the hull hit the edge of the frame at the bottom. It's a small detail but for me it is really important visually.
Cheers!

Superb shot, I dont think this could be better - the depth of focus, the exposure, the composition, all exactly right. The glimmer of gold in the sky & the swirl of water around the boat just add to what is a rare moment of perfection.........well done Eric, TFS.

Hello Eric,
Very well done. The exaggerated perspective of the wide lens coupled with the depth of field from the stopped down lens make this a wall hanger. Composition and saturation are also first rate.
I have this lens and hope to find a landscape this dramatic to put it to good use.

Greg

It could have been a masterpiece if the boat wouldn't have been cut (right down angle of the picture).
But it is a wonderful photo, well composed, with beautiful colors. I really like it.

Masterful composition which makes a good use of the depth of field and of this charming coastal scenery at sunset. I like the warm colours and the good sharpness (maybe an HDR?).
The shipwreck looks like just like a Viking ship.
It would have been nice on your part to write something about it.
Best greetings,

Hello Eric,
A fantastic wide angle view of this decaying boat, brought in well matching colours. And you were there at the right moment when the water was reaching the wreck.
A pleasure to look at.
Very well done.

Hi Eric,
wow, fantastic composition of this irish beach. We literally plunge into the innards of the boat.
Moreover, the long time of exposure gives that great effect on the waves.
Good light and colors.
