Photographer’s Note
The Earth is in constant movement. Obviously it is not just the revolution or the rotary movement of our planet, it's also its inner disposition.
We observe manifestations of its strength as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, plate tectonics or thermal fields like this one. Geysir and Strokkur - in the picture - lie on one of such fields (Haukadalur) in Iceland. The blue pool is called Blesi, it gained its colour due to dissolved minerals in around 40°C water.
The show starts every several minutes and lasts for a few seconds.
How cool the hot temperament of our planet is...

Michal,
This place was spotlighted on NBC news Today Show this morning here in the US. Al Roker, the weatherman, did a story about these geothermal springs and geysers.
This is a nice shot with great contrast between the blue pool and the dark clouds in the sky. The natural color of the water is amazing and stands out nicely against the background. Your timing was perfect capturing the geyser in all it's glory.

Asa

Incredible color contrast and lighting, as if light was coming out of the pools. It is funny to see the people standing next to the jeyser.

Czesc,
Przedni strzal.
Pozdro
