Helllo Anellise,

Some moment are just the right ones to open the TrekEarth page. And seeing this as the first photograph makes such a moment. Very nice!
The harsh light on the grass and the side of the light tower, combined with the dark clouds in the top. Very nice.
One thing I'm wondering about - as an energy engineer - are the electricity poles. I only see wires up to the first pole. Did the others have no wires, or did they get lost in the resizing of the photograph?! Just wondering about that one ;-).
Thanks for sharing!

Greetings, Dennis

It has kind of Edward Hopper quality that I love, Anellise, the light is very special here, makes me want to go there.

Hi Anellise,
What a wonderful light! It is amazing.
The cloudy sky is perfectly contrasted and the lighthouse is positioned at the perfect place in your composition.
Well done.
Regards,
Marianne

Hi, Anellise,
Nice countours and forms and a feeling of a deserted place safe from Robinsons:)

great light and cute hauses

Dear Anellise,
Back to were you belonmg, the landscapes from Iceland. Your previous experiments was not really my style, but seeing this i am glad you do the things again in which you are very good. Showing Iceland in most fantastic light. The yellow grass is a bit harsh, but that fits perfectly to the much darker part in front of it, i like that effect. The red top from the lighthouse is simply wonderful. Composition is nice (i would remove the front pole, it's blocking the house) and in combination with a soft but powerful sky you created a very good photo.
Regards, Henk

Hi Anes,

very nice and calming effect it has. I especially like the soft sunlight coming from the left. the layers in the ground and the sky contrast well with the vertical posts and the light house. the lovely houses compliment the image. very well-seen.

A great shot, Annelise, with lovely soft colours. A pity about the electricity poles...but then again, where would a modern lighthouse be without them?

Superbe de netteté et de douceur anellise !
Cette photo est dans son genre absolument parfaite et cette lumière de jour qui se meurt apporte une très grande élégance à ta composition...
A plus...

Hi Anellise,
A gorgeous golden light hits this lighthouse. The dramatic sky is also wonderful and provides a great contrasting background. Lots of details with the electric poles and the two houses. The composition is just fine. I love it.
Yours,
Philippe

Hello Anellise,

A fabulous surreal photograph that you have composed exquisitely, and exposed flawlessly. The resolution is a sharp as a razor, and the colors are crisp and brilliant. Well done!

Warm regards,

Bulent

Very special light.
I like in particular the yellow band, which makes the picture very eye catching
Stefano

Fantastic capture Anellise, lighthouses are always high on my list and I love this composition and quality of light. Very well done.

they look so lonely. I guess this has to do with your land though. Excellent photo , crispy colors and good framing

Hi Anellise
This is a very special light. I like the way the pylons lead up to the lighthouse which looks as though it's top got chopped off. The band of dark clouds makes this so dramatic.
Regards
Nikki

Hi Anellise. A shot that stops one in one's tracks. It is so lovely because of the appealing colour palette and the marvelous light. For me, the best part(of a wonderful whole) is that yellow line across the scene and its matching vertical extension on the left side of the lighthouse. You really are a master landscape "painter". regards. Klaudio.

Salut Annellise
Très belle image , bon cadrage egalemenz les petites maisons donnent une très bonne idée de la hauteur de ce phare.
Bien vu
Toni
