Well, i thought it was obvious that this building was a church (look at the christian cross on the top of the roof) but it seems that it is not the case for everybody. Thus yes, it is the rocket-shaped cathedral of Reykjavik, shot on a seldom sunny day of June. Strange architecture, isn't it?

What is this? A church? Please write some notes to know what we see!

Indeed, this is very strange architecture. It looks like a space shuttle with organ pipes. I like how the church dominates this composition. The architecture is so unusual that you don't need to show any of the surrounding landscape. But I would be curious to see who this would look from a far distance where one might have to wonder what the Space Shuttle is doing in Iceland. ;-)

Great shot of Hallgrimskirkja! I like the angle you have chosen.
Nice colours, great, blue sky.
The icelandic churches have really strange architecture, I found a lot of strange ones when I was driving around the island.

This is an interesting building. All the lines really lend to the vertical feel. Your point of view captures the rise of the tower from three points, the sides and the nave, very nicely. And the sky was perfect for this shot. Perhaps cropping a bit at the bottom would enhance the strong upward feel. I would say just below the opposite side rocks in this little circle of stones at the bottom so you had just the one line of stones and a thin layer of grass. Very nicely captured view of this building. Well done.

Looks like the church is heading for space!
Fine colors and contrasts. The sky is getting blue as you climb to the top of the church.
