The POV and the subject are great. Personally here I would have prefered a color picture, assuming the ochre background.

Bravo!

The composition is outstanding. Partly because of the great sense of scale. But I also think that positioning the guy in the middle (vertically) and according to rule of thirds (horizontally) works really well. I think it works well in BW. One still gets the idea that teh mountains have a peculiar shade. Although, like Steffano, I am curious as to how Lannmannalaugar's famous ryalithe mountains would look in color. The greyscale is interesting but not flawless due to large burned out areas. Sharpness is not impressive. But nevertheless the pic works well because of the intense compo.
Best,
Mikkel

Hallo Maciek
Nice picture, good POV with the small human figure in a dominant position and dramatic B&W.
Moodful atmosphere.

Hola,
great great great! A like a lot all! The composition, the contrast and lights and the choice for Black and White. Great! All this elements brings a strange/magic atmosphere that make us dream and imagine. In colour is not the same, it will be a good picture, but more conventional. Your picture is a very original and really not conventional, and I like a lot this.
One of my prefered pictures and certainly the best of today.
Congratulations,
javier

An impressive photo both by the choice of the black and the white and by the atmosphere which it loosens.
What a height for these mountains and the man at the end of this vertiginous peak!

Well Maciek, that's impressive. The monumental size of the mountain, the human presence for a sense of scale and the compreesed perspective adds drama to this shot...great work.

Hej Maciek
It's absolutley stunning!
The color one is great, but this one is even better. its a bit like an Engraving from 1700-1800 an illustration to some naturalistic novell. It has simularitys with German painter Caspar David Friedrich.
You know your good so I dont have to tell you that.
bravo

This is it ! No way, the B/W is the most interesting one by far! The small imperfections are forgotten in less than a second. Here there is a true artistic image, like in a dream world; much space is left to individual imagination, the grainy look makes it like a gravure, I fully agree with comment above and also makes me think of Gustave Doré's original gravures for Jules Verne's Voyage to the Center of the Earth and others.
To me this pic epitomisez Iceland in many ways, the positioning of the human figure against the immensity is amazing. Superb job, truly inspiring!
Thank you
Michèle
