Photographer’s Note

Hiking of the beaten path in Iceland involves figuring out where to cross icy cold glacial rivers. Crossing an icy, fast river in bare feet can be a tricky business.

If it didn't conflict TE TOS (and any chance of running for prime minister), I'd post a full-frontal nudity pic of myself after making a splash in Lapland.

I like to cross first, unpack the cam and hope for the best: That one of my buddies tumbles over!

On this occasion everything went well though. Note the variety of the mountains in the background. On is bare volcanic soil and the other lush with green moss.
