Hi Anes,

powerful composition .. no matter what the light was this would be evocative ... for that matter it would be so different with even the slightest shift .. but your lighting here really speaks in so many ways.

Very touching moment, Annelise. One of the strongest images I've seen lately as well as your note.
You chose very well the angle, leting the sillouette of the statue against the strong colors from the sky. At first it seems like a real person praying. I like the composition, but I personally would like to compose it with the praying figure a off-center, a bit to the left. The image would transmit even more strength.
Nevertheless it's a wonderful image.
Thank you so much for sharing this moment of emotion you felt.

Anellise you live in a beautiful country that has gorgeous scenery. I love this sunset setting including the statute creating this theme of prayer. Yes we all need to remember those who have died and passed on, and also to pray for protection for the living. Have a good Sunday...
