The Blue Lagoon geothermal spa owes its existence to the nearby Svartsengi geothermal power plant, which is powered by superheated seawater drawn from deep bore holes in the lava. Wonderful resort for the healthy rest.

Hello Tatiana and happy new year (a little late). I've been looking at your recent shots. This is an interesting photo, coming from such a cold place, even though it was in June and the water warm. I like the colour of the water and the steam rising from it. The photo has great clarity and interesting viewpoint. Well done.
