Photographer's Note
When one drives along the Ring Road, there is no need to hurry or no need to worry about a traffic jam or rushing to be someplace. The destination can be a simple drive along this road and marvel at what surrounds you.

What a lovely shot... truly brilliant.
I saw it when you first posted it (while at work - pshht! Don't tell anyone) and simply stared at it while my heart sank in silence towards more and more nostalgy for my times on that wonderful island...
That road.
It takes you where you need while passing by the most amazing scenery. A road I Love from the bottom of my Heart. So beautiful.
In this, I must admit I would have tightened the whole by cropping a bit from both the bottom and the top, but that's just me. It's just perfect as it is :)
Thank You for sharing this lovely shot!
Best regards,
Julia

My eye follows the roadway amid the spectacular landscape and tries to remember the trip we had there. Each bend in the road brought a new view and fresh colors; all so memorable.
The minimal colors are well framed and crisply composed into a well balanced shot.

Michael,
seen your note on an Icelandic pic, came to see and...
this gave me a heartbeat. Makes me feel like I am back there, splendid mimimalistic view, the perfect gray sky as a canvas to the mountain, those roads one cannot tire of, the earthy colors. Like your composition and the muted yet strong colors. A picture to linger on, a country to always go back to.
Just great.
Thank you
Michèle
