Photographer’s Note

Just had to stop the car and take a shot of this view of the beautiful mountain glacier. The lava bed in the foreground is mossy, extremely bumpy, and densely covered with an undergrowth that is nearly impossible to walk through.

Taken while in route to Pingvellir, but not sure of closest city.

Very nice shot. I like it a lot.
Wonderful contrast of colours: the blue of the water, the colours of nature and the dominant white of the snowy mountains.
Good colour saturation too.
Well done.

Another very nice scene from Iceland. It really has it all. Blue sky, glacier, volcanic rock, moss fields and the water. Good compositional job of craming it all into the frame. Perhaps a lower angle or a rock in the forground would have provided a stronger perspective. But it is great as it stands!

I've been wanting to go hiking in Iceland for several years but never got around to it. But pictures like this will help to get me there eventually. So, keep 'em coming!

Super composition, Kathy. You ahve an interesting foreground, which leads the viewer throught the scene to the spectacular mountains. I can even see the lighter colored rocks in the middle of the scene. Nice work! Mike
