Photographer’s Note
This photo was taken two days after my last aurora photo posted here on TE. The aurora was of the green and pink type that are fairly common here. Over a period of about one hour fast-moving flickering auroras formed bright spiral shapes, drapes and clear coronas.
More aurora photos are posted on my homepage.
ISO set to 200, ca 10 sec exposure manually with aperture 4,5.

Wow, Wow, WOW!
This is fantastic! One day I'm going to go to Reykjavik and spend all night watching these. It looks amazing. The photo is also brilliant, very clear and well composed, the barn is a nice touch in the foreground.
Really, well done.

Very nice! I love the way the other shore seems to be lit up by the northern lights. Excellent details and the hut sets up the perspective very well.

I lilke this shot and thank you for the technical note.
I like the composition of this, with the aurora making a curve that leads to the land.
I have visited your homepage and I have to say that I really like your way of shooting and style.
Thank you for sharing,
Stefano

magnifique aurore boréale parfaitement capturée. L'image donne en plus l'impression de mouvement de l'aurore dans le ciel. Splendide.

This is a spectacular image. Nature might have provided the show, but your composition to include the hut and the mountains is spot-on. Well done

Hello Fredrik
first sorry i didn't read your previous note and i now understand why you framed this ugly car (sorry but it is always ugly for me (;)) ) ... i agree your pov about foreground and i prefer this kind of foreground ... this "natural" foreground works for me better than the car which doesn't stay at the same place, i hope you understand my poor and ugly english and my pov.
This compo works for me, maybe the urban light on right could disturb the picture, but it is not sure, because this aurora is very beautiful.
I don't agree with you about the aurora that could look so common, maybe for you that are swedish and living in Iceland. But for me, a little french, the aurora aren't common, and all the (good) photo i saw are for me very intersting ... and all your pictures (i didn't seen before) are very good (except the last one héhéhé)
Regards, hugues

Oh boy! Splendid.
Iceland is, obviously, a really nice place for auroras. ***
