Photographer’s Note
Another northern lights photo... This one is from tuesday evening and was taken from Seltjarnarnes peninsula, Reykjavík.
I dont actually like the colors that came out from this first post-processing of the photo, especially since I took so much better photos the nest day. I would delete this one if it wasnt for all the response and positive comments. Anyway, I much more like my other aurora photos here on TE and on my homepage and IMO they give a better idea about the phenomenon of northern lights.

Hi Fredrik.
Impresive simple, but superb composition.
The light in the left of the cottage with the stars in the sky is simply, lovely.
The colors and definition are also nice!!!

Unique! Absolutely magnificent. Beautiful colors and a perfect sharpness. I presume that the white light in the lower right corner is the city.

What a strange but still very interesting photo! These effects made by the northern lights create a very mysterious atmosphere! Fredric, this is a wonderful shot with dark, beautiful colors that show that your technique is really great! My best regards!

Very beautiful. This barn just gives a great sharpness to the picture.
But not to forget that beside your skills as a photographer mother nature made the most work to make this shot as pretty as it is!!!
Can it be that the very bright mars was on the right side of that of the image?!
Beautiful scenery! What was the exposure?

phenomenal shot...yet you must find them relatively easy to take..i think your composition with the land in it is importand...you need some stability and a reference plane for sky shots...
this is fine.
the issue of the green area from the hills also leads one to appreciate the perspective of the shot.

This is the photograph *I* wanted to get when I was there in Feb but it was cloudy every single day!
This looks like a captivating display - the composition benefits from the cottage in the foreground.
Exposure is spot on. Very well caught!
