Photographer’s Note

The photo shows the Vesturhorn mountain (to the left; seen also in the previously posted pictures Isolation 1 and 2) from a new angle. The mountain constitute the southeastern tip of Iceland, and are here seen more or less from the north. The picture was taken on september 11´th this year, and the solitude and beauty in this picture sharply contrast with those events unfolding in Sweden at the same time. 10 min before this picture was taken I learned from a news bulletin that the swedish foreign minister Anna Lindh had been stabbed, and later died from her injuries. Hence, all pictures taken this day and the following during the journey bring out very mixed emotions in me.
