Photographer’s Note

A photo from earlier this summer, taken during a short walk around our camping site by Dynjandi / Fjallfoss waterfall. Yhis waterfall is one of the most frequently occurring in Icelandic tourist guide books and brochures, but due to its distant location in the west fjords, fairly few travellers get to see it. It is well worth the drive over there though...

Hi Fredrik,
really a great capture. I think, because of the long opening the waters look very foamy.
The three man give an expression of the dimensions of the waterfall. Well done.

This is grandiose! Roland was right, the three man is a really good idea since that give the dimension of the place. Your choice to use a long shutter speed (I guess?) is a good one. That give a smooth feeling.

Je suis vraiment impressionné, d'abord par la beauté de ce phénomène, et ensuite par la manière très professionnelle dont tu l'as traitée.
Une de ces photos qui font que je suis certain maintnenant de visiter l'Islande un jour.

An amazing photo, Fredrik, this magnificent waterfall is well worth the long journey! Very well done to include the people, they really give scale, and this makes half of the impression. Very well done!

Hello Fredrik!
I've never seen such abeautifull shot if a warefall. On first sight it looks like a closeup of a small cascade, but when the eyes recognize that there are three tiny persons on it the viewer realizes that this must be an enormous waterfall.

This shot is great in it's absurdness. The waterfall doesnät look that big, could almost be a close up. And then one spots the three persons standing there!
