Photographer's Note

Next picture about our whale watching cruise in Husavik bay in the north of Iceland. Our cruise lasted about 3 hours and we met 3 or 4 humpack whales that turned around our boat. It looked like they were playing with us, appearing on the left, then on the right and ahead the boat ! I was surprised we could approach so close to them. To give you an idea, I took this picture at 122mm focale and didn't recrop it at post processing. I was impressed too how graceful these whales were. You couldn't imagine such big animals can go out and into the water with so fluid movements ! We should call them the Husavik bay dancers ! We could see one of them jumping out of the water, but we were so surprised we couldn't take a picture of this magic instant. But I won't forget it, for sure !
