First day in Reykjavik. I was taking photos in the graffiti park in Reykjavik and was aware of the Sax player at one corner of the park. I was hoping to get a few shots but he started to pack away his saxophone. I asked if he was busking but he said no. He was just enjoying the sunshine and celebrating the day. He did not mind unpacking his saxophone for me to take some photos. We moved further up into the centre of the park next to a group of locals sitting in front of this colourful mural that you see in this image. They are just out of this image immediately to the right. The Sax player then began to sing. In no time there were other photographers and some with recording equipment. He thoroughly enjoyed this extra attention. I visited that park three times in the one day. Such a great place. I was able to speak to a number of the locals (including some graffiti artists) and was able to ask whether they minded me taking their photos. No objections. A great day.

You place the sax player, nice to the right side.
This gives space to the graffiti on the wall
Lovely composition, splendid presentation.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice week,

isn`t it great when things just seem to come together at the right time as they did for you on this occasion.
You have captured the saxophonist in full flow against a very colourful and interesting BG,great stuff.

une belle photo, agréablement composée;
Le mur de graffitis accompagne très bien le saxophoniste.

The vivid colours of the graffiti make an excellent backdrop for the well framed saxophone player. The light was ideal to capture both in this image, which has superb detail.

The saxophonist and the colourful graffiti compliment each other so well here Trevor. I can almost hear the jazz playing as the backdrop seems to be created specially for the instrument. An excellent ,well managed and evocative shot. Warm regards Rosemary

A very unique combination of saxophone and graffiti. I love the combination of old and new.
Very good color combination on the graffiti, they contrast each other very well.
The player though enjoying the attention is engrossed in his music. Superb clarity and light.
An unique shot which I enjoyed thoroughly.

like this! A shot that has colour, character and originality. Iceland's graffiti looks a little more up market that some of the trash on the walls here in the UK. Superb capture this.
Have a good week - B.

Bien vu, le fond s'accorde à merveille au joueur de saxo et en plus les couleurs sont superbe. Belle photo.

You had obviously a very enjoyable time. I would also have liked to be here and to take a picture like this in such colourful surroundings. It's a fine composition with a very good horizontal shape and perfect light.

Really good environmental portrait. You've caught him in mid-blow (mind you if he's in the John Coltrane school of sax playing, that's not difficult: circular breathing and so on!) Of course it's the background you've chosen to place him against which makes the shot a stand-out. And it does enhance the player, not compete with him: it creates the urban environment that seems appropriate. Nice one!
