On our way up north we stopped for some coffee and cake (that we brought) out in the wilderness.
This place was just so peaceful and beautiful. We were quiet high up in the mountains and yet there was a comfortable temperature of 17 degrees, the sun was shining, there were little sheeps everywhere and this beautiful, silvery stream with crystal clear water.
We could have been there the rest of the day, it felt like we were completely alone, no cars ar poeple passed us during the hour we were there. I struck me that there's not often, in my ordinary life I can sit down for one hour, without seeing or hearing any signs of humans. Just nature. That was a wonderful moment.
This is one of the best memories of my latest trip to Iceland.

I 'd like to go to Iceland, I will visit your icelands pictures... greetings

Beautiful landscape Frida.. A lovely setting.
Still debating if I should go there with my car.. but in december it might be a real challenge..

Great setting, Frida, and the way you describe it in your note is a wonderful representation of how I also feel when out in nature. The light reflections on the water give such a fresh look to this scene, and the zig-zagging bend of the stream makes a good lead into the scene, and towards the mountain range. Beautiful natural colors and good contrast, thanks for sharing.

Hi Frida it is indeed an appropriate title as the way the sun hits the river transforms it in a silver arrow moving up to the moutain circle. In contrast it makes the ground around look darker. A very nice place and a nice photo too.

I particularly like the different shades of tender greens.
And the "contre-jour" is well managed in a perfect harmony with the composition to highlight the small river.
More than only a classic mountain image, Frida !

beautiful landscape Frida, excellent perspective, the details are excellent, the river looks very icy and cold. very nice moment you have in Iceland, thank you for sharing

This looks so beautiful. The sun reflected by the water, like a stream of jewels. The green nature with the mountain and the snow in the background. Very peaceful, adding what you said in your note, I would like to be there some sunny day. In winter it must also be nice there with the untouched snow emphasising the silence. I like this photo very much. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Frida, another lovely photo from Iceland here! The shiny river really stands out well from the colourful background. Good contrast and a lovely composition.
Well done!

What a large picture.....
Again, "your" Iceland with it's wonderful nature, the fresh green, the rough mountains and of course, the river, which is so beautiful because of the light shining in it.
Would like to sit down and have some coffee and cake (brought) with you there.....

Beautiful landscape!Very good POV and DOF.I like a lot the colors and the contrast between them.Great textures, light and sharpness.I like the reflections the sun in the water.I like a lot the clouds.Well done!

I like it Frieda, but I think you have in this picture about 40 percent of the image filled with not saying soil (left bottom). I would take the picture a few meters ahead.
Anyhow, a great composition.

Very beautiful view, Frida. The sunlight on the water is great.

Hi Frida! I always liked this transition from a summer at winter. Mountains in a snow and the river with a grass on coast. Very good choice of structure for a shot. Beautifully.

Good graphic elements in the composition, Frida. I like the 's' shaped stream providing perspective.

oh!I missed it when I was in trip, and glad to see it now,Frida.
A great playing with light,I like this kind of photography, fighting with light!and you have a fine result here,a beautiful place that you show us with a great composition in your frame, vivid, nostalgic light(I don't know why,but it's my feeling, here)and lovely work, nicely done,Frida.
Sincerely
M

Beatiful landscape, the river look particulary beatiful because of the silver colour. Thanks for bringing this peaceful atmosphere here on TE.

Great use of the diagonal made by the stream which creates a line of strenght in the composition making us look deeper into it.

Still, in this case, I find the contrasts a bit too strong. In PSP9 the use of the Backlight and Fill Flash Tools could balance more this contrast making the image softer and bring up details in the darker areas.

Un fiume d'argento in un ambiente dall'aria pulitissima!! Si vede.
Un cielo chiarissimo e una luce da magica atmosfera
